Ingredients:
- 1 lb ground beef
- 1/2 cup hoisin sauce
- 1/4 cup soy sauce
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon ginger, minced
- 1/2 cup diced bell peppers any color
- 1/2 cup diced onion
- 1/4 cup sliced green onions
- 4 hamburger buns
- Sesame seeds for garnish
- Sliced cucumbers for topping
- Sliced red cabbage for topping
Instructions:
Toast the ground beef in a big pan over medium-high heat until its fully cooked and broken up
Chop up some garlic and ginger and add them to the pan
For one to two minutes, stir and cook until it smells good
Add the soy sauce and hoisin sauce and mix well
Let the flavors blend for another two to three minutes by continuing to cook
Dice the onions and bell peppers and put them in the pan
Cook the vegetables for three to four minutes, or until they start to get a little softer but are still crisp
In a toaster or on a griddle, toast the hamburger buns until they are just barely browned
To put the burgers together, cover the bottom half of each bun with a large scoop of the Asian-style sloppy joe mix
If you want it to taste even better, add sliced cucumbers and red cabbage on top
To make it look nicer, add sliced green onions and sesame seeds on top
Finish each burger by putting the top half of the bun on top of it
